I just received a text message informing me that online access to my Scotiiabank account has been locked. The message includes a link that I should use to regain access.
Sounds phishy to me. I haven’t had a Scotiabank account for over 40 years, from back before the days of online banking and text messages.
The “helpful” link would only be helpful to the scam artists who perpetrate this stuff. Don’t be a sucker. Don’t bite on bait like this. Real banks don’t communicate this way.
