It was -28 Celsius this morning, but

1. The house was warm. Our heating system has had problems the past couple of weeks, but they seem to be resolved.

2. Our internet is working again. It was down for four days.

3. We didn’t use enough data on our phones to incur extra charges.

4. The garage door opened under its own power. I didn’t read the owner’s manual carefully and set the power too low. For the past several winters, I have had to open the door manually when it got this cold. Last summer, a service technician told me this opener could handle a door twice the size and showed me how to adjust the power.

5. The car started without being plugged in.
