Well, I haven’t got as far with the weight loss project as I had hoped. After 30 days I was down six pounds. But hey, that’s still six pounds that I don’t have to carry around anymore. I am doing OK with the eating less part, not so well with the part of moving more. My excuse is the weather, we have had a long, cool spring. I’m going to have to get over that, because this is Saskatchewan after all.
The past few days I have been under the weather — headache, sore throat, aching legs. I spent most of yesterday on the recliner with a cat sleeping on my lap. It wasn’t always the same cat, we have three and they trade places every now and then. My wife recently came across a quote by Robertson Davies that seems quite fitting:
“Authors like cats because they are such quiet, lovable, wise creatures, and cats like authors for the same reasons.”

I hope you’re feeling better!
Thank you. I am feeling a little more energetic today.
